The stroop effect

It has always been man’s endeavour to find out how and why we behave the way we do and this ability has been the key driver of the human beings. The curiosity to ’search for the unknown’ has kept us alive. Fundamental to all these is the way we have been programmed to process information reaching our heads. Right from the day we are born, we are flooded with information through our sensors – auditory, visual, tactile, taste.
The way we process the information and make a black box model of the environment is complicated. And to investigate this ambiguous ability of ours, to process and react to the information is both challenging and engaging – job of experimental psychologists.
